My name is Meghan Cobler. I grew up in Marietta, GA and graduated from The Westminster Schools of Atlanta. After high school I attended Auburn University and was a member of the sorority, Delta Zeta. In the fall of 2019, I transferred to Kennesaw State University, where I am currently a senior pursuing a B.S. degree in Integrative Studies and a minor in Leadership. I am an aspiring Event Planner, where I hope to build a career.
In both 2019 and 2020 spring semesters, I worked as an intern with the Disney College Program where I was able to fully immerse myself into the hospitality field. This opportunity not only helped me to grow as a person, but it also required me to learn how to adapt to new experiences, work in a fast-paced atmosphere, and cope with high pressure situations. Hard working, responsible, creative, organized and adaptable are skills that I would use to describe myself. I am full of integrity, ambitiousness, loyalty and optimism.
Over the past few years, I have planned my neighborhood Christmas events. This opportunity has taught me to be organized, creative, and how to multi-task. This past year, during COVID-19, I had to think outside the box and plan socially distanced events. My experience in planning these events has given me a glimpse of what is expected for my chosen career path.
Fashion, skin care, and makeup are three of my favorite things. I love to treat myself to a good facial mask (for skincare, not Covid) when I feel overly stressed. I enjoy being organized and making “to-do lists”. Figure skating and hiking with my dog are two other ways I love to clear my mind. Outside of class I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling, shopping and visiting coffee shops.
